Sales- Grow membership and increase the number of products and services used by our members. In an effort to improve our existing and potential members' financial lives,2. Member Service- Assist members with detailed and accurate product recommendation. Review member accounts to determine appropriate products and services.4. Account Management & Transaction Handling -Utilizes internal policies/procedures, knowledge, and skills to maintain and process deposit accounts (e.g. Savings, Checking) and investment accounts (e.g. Certificates, IRAs, Trusts), opens new accounts as requested and conducts general account inquiries, transactions, and maintenance requests. Processes new membership accounts in compliance with audit and regulation requirements. Provides members with basic technical support and troubleshooting for Credit Union products (e.g. Fire Online home banking, 24-hour voice response, bill pay).5. Cash Handling and Balancing - Accurately process cash transactions (e.g. deposits, withdrawals, sale of monetary instruments, purchasing and redemption of savings bonds, and payments/advances of loans) in accordance with internal policy and procedures.6. Product & Policy Knowledge- Maintains an in depth knowledge of the features, benefits, and fee structures of all savings and lending products. Has an overall knowledge of business, personal, and insurance products. Stays current with industry offers, market trends, and the competition while maintaining current understanding of all credit union lending and member service policies and procedures.7. Special Project/Other Assignments- Actively and respectfully participates on project teams, contributing specialized knowledge and resources to achieve the common objective. Based on project/assignment outcomes and role on the project team, ensures affected departments/individuals are informed. Position Qualifications:3+ years of experience in financial services industry, including knowledge and understanding of general financial institution products and services preferredExperience with account management, transaction processing, and cash handlingExperience in Consumer Lending loan application processing and underwriting, including basic knowledge of federal and state lending and savings regulations•Skilled in word processing (Word), spreadsheet (Excel), and database applications • Demonstrated ability to compose and write effective and respectful members correspondenceDemonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workflow, including excellent organization and follow through skillsDemonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills including analytical ability to research questions, analyze data, compile results, recommend solutions, and communicate information • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills including in-person, via phone, email and other electronic channelsMinimum high school diploma/or equivalentPersuasive, consultative (value-added selling)
