  • Our client, a longstanding, top rated CPA & Consultancy firm, is looking for a new Senior Finance Manager to join their team.  This is a full-time, direct hire position based at one of their many bay area offices.  Our client offers a dynamic and exciting culture with a great work/life balance.  This highly visible role allows for great growth potential and this environment is ideal for those wanting to make a difference and affect change.  Work will be performed at the firm’s offices and remotely at client offices. RESPONSIBILITIES:·       Manage client engagements related to technical accounting projects, translating and documenting all client needs·       Ability to perform stock based/equity accounting and debt and equity instruments·       Provide team leadership, training and review the work of team members·       Work face-to-face with CFOs, Controllers and Accounting Managers at client locations·       Draft technical accounting position papers that are clear, concise and accurate, referencing all applicable accounting research·       Ability to perform derivative accounting and consolidation principles including the Variable Interest Entity analysis approach·       Manage multiple projects at a time·       Ability to deliver high quality solutions on-time, within scope and budget·       Identify and develop new processes and procedures for service delivery·       Documentation of best practicesREQUIREMENTS:·       Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical accounting experience·       Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting·       CPA license VERY strongly preferred·       Knowledge of stock-based/equity accounting – Knowledge of equity systems, a plus·       Strong client service focus·       Strong client management, consulting, communication and leadership skills·       Ability to work directly with clients, analyze risk, and determine applicable solutions·       Troubleshooting skills – Ability to think “outside of the box” to resolve problems·       Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written·       Strong knowledge of MS ExcelThis position will work out of the San Jose, San Francisco or San Ramon offices and will spend probably 2 days/week at client sites within the Bay Area. ·       Prior experience with auditors, a plus
