General Purpose of the JobUnder minimal direction of the Administrative Support Supervisor, the Support Rep (SR) or Clerk must provide support to the consumer relations department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to updating daily filing, handling inbound calls and forwarding to the proper collector and processing inbound faxes and outbound letters. Assist management with orientation and training of representatives when requested. Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to: · Handling incoming debtor calls and forwarding to the proper collector. In some cases, it is a requirement to handle the call directly if associated with a refund or “decline” on a new check· Processing of Western Union - Quick Collect monies, including documenting payments, copying payments and forwarding payments to accounting· Processing inbound and outbound faxes for collectors and the department, including documenting all faxes and forwarding to collector, supervisor, or legal where appropriate· Handling Equifax report on Consumer Disputes within 30 days allowed by law· Credit Card Payment Tracking· Process requests for special letters to debtors as well as the system generated daily letters.· Process all incoming correspondence for department and distribute accordingly· Other job related duties as assigned Knowledge and Experience· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Skills and Abilities· Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills· Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence and memos· Ability to write simple correspondence· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization HoursMonday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Required to work every 1st day of the month Optio Solutions offers team-oriented departments and a diverse group of friendly, motivated people.
