Generally supports smaller workgroup, such as a section, unit or functional area.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms typical secretarial and administrative duties of a varied nature to established processes, applying independent judgment. Provides support to one or more managers, but also provides support to a work group such as a section, unit or functional area, under general supervision. Position requires proficiency in a secretarial and administrative support role; however, emphasis is more on secretarial role. Requires basic knowledge of work group's policies and procedures, as well as company policies and processes. Has occasional contact with clients, suppliers or company employees outside the immediate work area to exchange information.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; 5 years administrative/secretarial.Preferred Job QualificationsThe ideal candidate should be an excellent multi-tasker who displays good judgment, pro-activity, and initiative. Maintains one of more managers' work calendars and/or project calendars. Arranges meetings, travel, and events. Creates and reviews expense reports for compliance. Verifies accuracy of invoices prior to approval and prints reports of section or unit expenses. May coordinate timesheet collection. Generates or distributes ad hoc reports using various business systems and databases. Generates simple documents, such as letters, memos, spreadsheets and presentations. Completes moderately complex filing activities such as scanning and electronic filing. Performs other general clerical duties as needed.
