Domestic Short Hair - Buff - Daphne - Small - Adult - Female
Daphne is a shy little beige tabby girl. She was born May 5, 2009. She loves pets and shoulder scratches while in her "safe spot" even giving gentle love bites on occasion. She is quite a sweet and darling cat but still timid. She has started to play with toys on her own and also enjoys looking out her window. Daphne would do well in a home with another mellow and non-aggressive cat.
Daphne was a young mother cat with 4 kittens who ended up in the Antioch animal shelter. She was very thin and scared. Like most mom cats she was quite attentive to her kittens who have all found good homes. She has been in a foster home and while she was very shy has warmed up and gradually become more trusting. It is not known if Daphne was abused or simply neglected, but she is adjusting to gentle handing and love.
Daphne will need a patient person to help her come out of her shell. She will do best in a calm home without small children. Daphne is an Indoor Cat.
Daphne is vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and is microchipped.
