SUMMARY:Under the direction of the EMT Superintendent, the Electrical Mechanical Technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation equipment for the Bear Gulch district. This position is located in Atherton, California.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic control systemsRepair low voltage control circuits of all types including motors and motor controls, SCADA equipment, communication equipment, and pump station equipmentAdjust, maintain, troubleshoot and repair automatic hydraulic control valvesInstall electrical branch circuit conduit and wiring in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC)Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Report work order assignment results, including project blue-print and schematic discrepanciesDocument all work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo)Partner effectively with contractors, vendors, or suppliers as required to complete district projectsMonitor job progress and inspect contractor installations to assure compliance with company standardsSupport Water Treatment Plant and Waste Water Treatment Plant MaintenanceParticipate in the Company’s Continuous Improvement program and projectsOther duties of the same or similar natureMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:5 years in the electrical/construction field with motor control experience5 years experience with 240 and 480 volt electrical systemsUnderstanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) regulationsMust reside within thirty (30) minutes of the Bear Gulch (Atherton) Operations CenterMust possess a valid California Driver LicenseCompletion of a four (4) year electrical construction apprenticeship is desiredCalifornia Certified General Electrician license is desiredState Water Resources Control Board - Drinking Water:Water Distribution Certification Grade 2 is desired (must be attained within 12 months)Water Treatment Certification Grade 2 is desired (must be attained within 12 months)Please submit resume by: Monday, September 12, 2016The Equal Opportunity Policy of the Company is based upon the philosophy that all people should be treated fairly and with dignity.
