Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:· Plan, direct, and coordinate the manufacturing of products in strict compliance with company goals and objectives· Effective management of the production departments’ output, quality, yields, resources and capacities management, inventory control, and project management· Manage multi-shift production operations to meet delivery schedules at the optimum level of productivity and quality. Oversee the allocation of personnel, material, and equipment resources to meet these objectives· Manage production planning and scheduling. Maintain capacity planning models for all significant processes and equipment· Develop and execute continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and utilization of production lines· Forecasts operating costs of manufacturing organization and directs preparation of budget requests· Develop and implement cost improvements to processes· Employ DMAIC and other process improvement techniques to ensure repeatable and maintainable solutions.· Identify and mentor successor. Develop and execute succession planning for all critical positions in Manufacturing.· Maintain employee safety and morale by creating a safe and efficient work environment· Work closely with support teams (ME, PE, QE, and TE) and staff members in analyzing and resolving major process and quality issues· Promote and support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiatives with accountability to financial goals and performance· Support plant layout, facility planning, and other assigned projects· Maintain proper employment levels through selecting, interviewing, and training of personnel· Perform analysis of manufacturing material flow and determining optimum control levels· Other tasks and duties as assignedJob Requirements and Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree or higher; preferably in engineering discipline or manufacturing technology· Minimum of 5 years in operations and managerial position in electronic manufacturing industries, in both NPI and volume production environments.· Knowledge of Materials Management: warehouse, kitting, planning, procurement, work orders, shipping, etc· Strong leadership and motivational skills· Working knowledge of EMS services, including PCBA and system integration· Formal training in lean principles, hands on participation in Kaizen, skill in problem solving and Poka Yoke, experience implementing lean manufacturing· Good verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
