This is Andrea Alvizo from Manpower and we are currently recruiting for a Garment Developer role for one of our clients in San Francisco, CA. Below is the job description: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Git development, prepping, measuring garments for fittings, scheduling fit models, leading fittings with design & PD, resolve fit issues, workmanship, taking tech packs from design and creating/updating technical packages and specs in PLM, checking patterns, meeting all calendar deadlines.Apply knowledge of the sourcing strategy, source base fit, construction, and design aesthetics to develop garments that will meet client’s product standards in a timely and cost effective mannerDrive selection of pre-qualified fit blocks and development of style-specific patterns (as an exception) that achieve cost targets and design aestheticsCollaborate with and influence Design in interpreting and translating aesthetic requirements into styling details that can provide commercially viable product for mass productionExecute with the global supply chain (internally and externally) to meet agree upon aesthetics and cost targetsEffective integration of all timeline processes with key internal and external stakeholders to meet all relevant "Go to Market: milestonesEnsure product quality and product safety requirements are metEstablish effective internal and external relationship present and incorporate continuous development of fit blocks to the department library. JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor degree highly preferred.Must have 3 plus years of experience in apparel encompassing product development.Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator with prior experience in Men's, Women's Tops, knits, wovens, outerwear, sweaters, knit bottomsMust have product lifecycle management (PLM) experienceKnowledge of the apparel industry, competitor best practices and the global sourcing environment is required.
