Multiple contractors and specialty services groups from Sacramento to East Bay are looking for all levels of CCTV crews: Push crew, Bootmen, Riggers, Sewer Inspection Technicians, and Truck Operators to verify that existing sewer integrity is free of utility cross bores, primarily on gas mains and services. Collectively, these positions will perform skilled technical work in the operation of audiovisual equipment used in the inspection of sanitary sewer mains to determine the need for repairs and maintenance of the collection system.FUNCTIONSPerform video inspection and recording services of drainage systems, particularly sewer, using mobile viedo inspection equipemnt (CUES, crawlers, scope,etc).Operates sewer inspection equipment including, but not limited to, remote tractor-mounted cameras, pole-mounted cameras, and push cameras along with necessary cables, reels, and related equipment.Work with other teams memebers to manage Camera van/truck equipped with a lateral launch system.The self propelled camera shuttle is inserted in a manhole and travels the length of the main providing a recorded video with audio commentary on the condition of the main. Each service connected to the main can also be inspected and located using a special lateral launch camera that extends out of the shuttle into the lateral.Verify the condition of sewer laterals in cross bore locations after a new main has been installed by directional drilling.Visually verify the locations of the sewer facilities and define whether there are cross boresUse specialized equipment to enter and view pipelines such as sewer mainsView existing pipe through CCTV system, identify any abnormalitiesWork directly with customer and well as local municipalities, state, and federal agenciesMaintain accurate tool and supply inventory on company vehicleMaintain and troubleshoot all tooling and technology equipment, keeping them in working order and maintaining clean conditionsLog the details and condition of pipelines in a precise, thorough, detailed, neat, and organized fashion for project and customer purposesAdherence to safety policies and procedures, including PPE, traffic, and confined space standardsQUALIFICATIONSValid NASSCO Certification - preferredConfined SpaceExperience with Traffic Control related to construction2+ years’ experience within the wastewater collection system performing maintenance, including experience operating closed circuit television equipment TVI, CCTVAttention to detail and problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in MS Office, Geographic Information Systems, and Closed Circuit Television Inspection programsAbility to move heavy objects (50 pounds or more) short distances (20 feet or less)Willing and able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elementsWilling and able to travel to other Underground Construction offices and job sitesAbility to maintain: valid driver’s licensePlease feel welcome to pass along these opportunities or reply back with resume' and location preference.
