Pit Bull Terrier - Tinkerbelle - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog
Lovely Tinkerbelle was placed in her current home back in January of 09. Sadly, she was returned to us when her adopter left the country on an extended sailing trip. We are looking for a new adopter that can commit to keeping Tinkerbelle for the rest of her life. This girl really deserves a forever home! Tinkerbelle is a a mature dog, but still active. She is about 6 years old now and lived the past 3 years with her adopter on a sailboat in the Berkeley Marina. Tinkerbelle is a sweet, sweet girl that just loves people. She really enjoyed her life on the boat because she was able to spend so much time with her person. Tinkerbelle has a very gentle way about her and is particularly wonderful with children. She is also very bright and still loves to learn new things. She is snuggly and silly and sensitive and so very deserving of a forever home but keeps getting passed over for younger dogs or dogs that are more social with other pups. She is a good city dog, she walks well on a leash and has a nice solid temperament where nothing seems to faze her. Tinkerbelle does not care for other dogs, but she isn't looking for trouble either. She just wants to be left alone. It's who she is and she wants someone that accepts that and doesn't think she needs to be fixed or changed. We happen to think she is pretty wonderful as is. Tink is very interested in chasing squirrels and shows a high interest in cats so she would be best in a feline free home, but would love a yard where she could safely be on squirrel patrol :). Tink is crate trained and quiet when left alone. Tinkerbelle is very eager to please and loyal and would be a wonderful match for a family with lots of love to share with her.
