Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Behavior ConsultantReports to: Operations Director / Regional DirectorJob Summary:· Supervises Behavior Technician implementing ABA services for consumers while protecting client’s rights, dignity and privacy.· Monitor the effectiveness of treatment interventions utilizing behavior analytic techniques for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).Qualifications/Educational Requirements for BCBA:1. Graduate of a BACB accredited college or University.2. Certified by the BACB as a BCBA.3. Prior ABA training required.4. A minimum of one year working with children with autism spectrum disorders.5. Previous experience in supervision preferred.6. Work positively and favorably with consumers, families, and staff.7. Demonstrate compassion, responsibility, and cheerful attitude.8. Excellent communication skills, analytical and observation skills. Knowledge of crisis management preferred. Qualifications/Educational Requirements for Behavior Consultant:1. Minimum of a master’s degree in a mental-health related field form an accredited institution with specialized training and one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of children with autism spectrum disorders.2. Work within scope of practice, under the supervision of a BCBA.3. Displays extensive knowledge and training in behavior analysis, must have received documented coursework at the graduate level from a BACB accredited university in at least 3 of the following 6 areas:· Ethical considerations· Definitions and characteristics and principles, processes and concepts of behavior· Behavioral assessment and selecting interventions outcomes and strategies· Experimental evaluation of interventions· Measurement of behavior and developing and interpreting behavioral data· Behavior change procedures and systems supports4. A minimum of one year working with children diagnosed with ASD. Responsibilities/essential functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.Provide supervision to Behavioral Technicians working with your clients.a. One hour of supervision/10 hours that the technician works. During this time, offer training in the principles of ABA to both staff and parents. Also, encourage parents to participate in parent-training sessions.b. Train each staff member on their client’s specific behavior treatment plan before services begin.c. Continuously track data in weekly progress notes in the form of charts, graphs, etc. to ensure treatment is effective. Revise treatment and teaching procedures as needed.d. Track due dates of 3 month reviews and 6 month VB-MAPP/ABLLS.2. Develop child-specific behavior plan in accordance with the principles of ABA.a. Monitor and adjust behavior plan throughout treatment period in accordance with the child’s progression.b. Implement new and remove old programs once mastery criterion is achieved.c. Submit weekly progress notes for each client with what was covered during supervision, progress on goals, and behavior graphing.3. Conduct behavioral assessments.a. VB-MAPP or ABLLS at intake and every 6 months, thereafter.b. Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)4. If certified, Conduct ADOS diagnostic.5. Assist in developing corporate structure and in the creation of policies and procedures.a. Participate in weekly small group meetings and monthly large group meetingsb. Develop and take on projects to improve client service and satisfactionc. Develop and take on projects to improve employee performance, retention, and satisfaction.d. Develop quality initiatives that will improve referral source satisfaction as measured through number of referrals and subjective survey methods.e. General help to manage office staff for maximum efficiencyf. Maintain knowledge of different programs and certifications.i. State Lawsii. TRICARE Programsiii. Medical Insurancesiv. Medicaid Autism Waiverv. Ensure compliance with above regulationsSupervising those employees who are working towards certification for BCBA, BCaBA or RBT.7. Promote the growth of Centria Healthcare and assist in pursuit of business opportunitiesa. Building relationships with current referral sourcesb. Pursuing and building relationships with new referral partners.
