If you are looking to support employees and leadership in the healthcare field, we'd love to talk with you about working for MedAmerica!Position Summary:This role will manage employee relations cases to include employee advocacy, leadership consulting and education, performance management, mediation, impairment/job accommodation, leaves of absence administration, policy and employment law interpretation, and off boarding. This role will also partner with managers and the HR team on employee engagement programs such as team building activities and support the implementation of new initiatives to encourage employee job satisfaction, and retention.As our team is growing, we have a few HR Generalist roles working with various employees or clinician groups. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:1. Performance Management Act as HR consultant to management on employee performance issues. Provide advice on coaching and progressive discipline, intervention such as EAP referral, reasonable accommodation, separation, and other recommended actions. Investigate and mediate concerns regarding discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage/hour regulations. Assess employment liability risks, serve as liaison to leadership on significant cases and seek legal counsel as appropriate. Serve as key Performance Review Program Administrator including coordinating performance evaluation timelines, process, messaging, training, tracking, and resource documents. Review evaluations for quality, consistency and risk management. Provide guidance to managers for enhancing the written content and communicating with the employee. 2. Employee Change Management Administer leaves of absence to comply with federal and state laws as well as company guidelines. Analyze turnover and retention data and make recommendations aligned with business goals. Manage separation process including separation package, notifications, company equipment retrieval, and IT and security access deactivation. Provide support to both managers and employees to ensure that our processes and actions are complaint with laws and regulations, efficient and human focused. Manage exit interview program. Synthesize and summarize themes and escalate issues as needed. Provide sound recommendations on how to improve identified areas to managers and HR team. Assist with researching, updating, publishing, and communicating employee handbook policies in accordance with employment laws and company objectives. 3. Employee Engagement Collaborate with internal departments to assess employee needs and administer programs to enhance the work environment and employee experience. Collaborate with stakeholders to research and propose recommendations that define project/program scope, goals, timeline, action items, resources, participants, and deliverables that support the operational goals of the organization. Provide perspective and consult to work groups and committees and support on operational initiatives. Our Ideal Candidate Profile... Years of experience: 5. years of HR or related experience. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Human Resources Management or equivalent. Skills & Abilities: Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Ability to handle conflict impartially and constructively using good judgment and diplomacy. Ability to multi-task and prioritize while managing tight deadlines. Work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
