AAA seeks Designer AAA seeks a talented and versatile designer with meaningful experience in both print and digital design. A large part of this role will be devoted to working on Via, a multichannel content experience that includes the largest-circulation print travel magazine in the West, the Via website, and other digital efforts. The other main responsibilities will be devoted to brand and marketing projects in print and digital, including posters, email campaigns, and banner ads. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years experience at a national or regional magazine and significant hands-on experience on digital projects. Job Summary Via magazine has three print editions, serving eight states; two are quarterly and one is bimonthly. This position designs page layouts for every issue of the magazine, including extensive hands-on design and production work, and contributes to the design of related digital assets. The position also supervises freelance creative talent. In addition, this position designs marketing materials that achieve business goals and build the AAA brand, working closely with colleagues in the AAA Creative Services Department and with a wide range of internal stakeholders.    Essential Functions Collaborates with colleagues and leadership to ensure all design work reflects and reinforces AAA brand standards and effectively reinforces awareness of AAA benefits and services. Works closely with Via's lead designer, editor-in-chief, and other staff editors to plan, commission, and select photography, illustrations, and graphics. Brings impeccable aesthetic standards to create must-read editorial designs. Reviews the work of freelancers and external agency resources, providing diplomatic and productive feedback and encouraging professional development. Oversees 4-color proofing to ensure highest quality standards. Handles all phases of production for each layout with meticulous attention to detail, reviews proofs, and shepherds all digital image files. Applies outstanding project management skills to stay on top of multiple deadlines and a fast-paced stream of deliverables. Respects and reinforces established workflows and budgets. Partners with colleagues to apply creative thinking to new projects or to improve existing work.
