Capital Finance offers traditional asset-based financing, specialized senior secured financing, accounts receivable financing, purchase order financing, and supply chain financing to a wide range of companies throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The VP-Vendor Sales (Western U.S.) position will be responsible for new vendor relationships for channel finance products within the New Vendor Development Team-Technology Industry. The VP will cover a variety of market segments, with mostly larger, top tier vendors, specialty and emerging growth companies, for Channel Finance Products within the technology space. The VP will coordinate vendor solicitation efforts with other members of the Supply Chain Finance Team, as well as WF Corporate Bank and RCBO contacts The VP-Vendor Sales will be responsible for meeting annual sales goals and sales activity targets by developing and executing a strategy to develop new vendor relationships. The VP will develop a sales plan for territory and key vendor prospects, develop and execute regular calling programs, and analyze customer needs. Develop knowledge of products, pricing strategies, technical tools and sales process to be effective. Works under the direction of Managing Director-Vendor Development, and/or more senior sales consultants and will provide support and back up as needed. Duties Include: New Vendor Sales and Marketing Identify vendor partners needed for existing and prospective reseller customers Perform direct selling efforts to develop new vendor relationships & programs. Issue proposals that include Program Letters and Vendor Agreements. Obtain reseller lists from vendors for outside sales to solicit. Develop vendor supported terms for their product sourced from distributor s. Attend trade shows and other vendor events. Special Projects Perform special projects as assigned *Open to telecommute candidates on the West Coast. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements. Required Qualifications 1+ year of information technology experience3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: leveraged finance, commercial finance, or investment banking Desired Qualifications Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsBasic Microsoft Office skillsBasic knowledge and understanding of commercial lending, private equity, or investment banking environmentExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Other Desired Qualifications Experience working in commercial lending, private equity or investment banking environment 3+ years of sales/ business development experience in commercial banking, technology industry vendor experience, channel finance or financial services. Sales, business development, credit analysis or operations experience. Ability to negotiate and influence expansion of customer relationships. Able to work effectively with all levels of management. Strong customer service skills and presentation skills. Knowledge of Capital IQ or other market research tool.
