KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS): Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compensation programs designed to meet company and business unit needs. Partners with HR staff and managers as an internal consultant to develop base and incentive compensation programs and to resolve moderate to complex issues which require an evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined policies and practices in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Participates in or may conduct salary surveys, analyzes internal and external compensation data utilizing quantitative, financial and statistical tools, and manages special projects. Reviews and recommends new or revised job classifications. May develop ad hoc reports to analyze specific compensation-related issues and reports findings and recommendations to management. Data analysis and database management. Data involved may be very large, and from multiple sources. Support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, creating dashboards, etc that enable analysis, modeling, and/or data visualization. • Presenting the data in a consumable and usable format for end users at all levels within the organization. • Building and deploying custom reporting solutions and ad-hoc analyses in support of operational and business users.• Translate incentive plan business requirements documents to detailed metrics, pseudo code, range lookup tables and end-user reporting• Maintaining multiple relational databases used for historical incentive reporting. These databases reside in both MS Access and SQL Server, with both Access and Excel used for custom report generation.
