POSITION OPEN: Director of Field Sales JOB TYPE: Full-time BACKGROUND: The Director will be responsible for managing the U.S. territory consisting of several assigned carrier and retail stores. The Director is responsible for cultivating strong partnerships with carrier and retailer national field leadership, coaching and developing the Regional Managers and creating nationwide strategic initiatives in order to drive increased sell-through and market share for the supported brand. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Establish, foster and drive strong partnerships with carrier and retailer national field leadership to deepen brand engagement and drive increased sell-through and market share for the program. Create strategic initiatives, in collaboration with the partner, which will enable the field teams to strengthen the relationship, increase brand loyalty and achieve revenue targets based on the partner culture and business needs. Coach, mentor and develop the Regional Managers whose key responsibilities include leading a team across a large geographic territory, establish relationships with partner field leadership teams and drive key sales and training metrics. Engage, inspire and motivate a team of experienced sales and training professionals to achieve assigned business targets. Conduct quarterly business reviews with partner field leadership team to share business successes and opportunities for continued revenue growth. Propose strategic recommendations and corresponding execution plans for continued program growth to key program stakeholders and partner field leadership teams. Analyze program sales and training data and identify trends to drive key business decisions and initiatives. Establish and socialize business plan for program KPIs for field teams which will deliver the expected sales and market share results Manage and track program performance against assigned KPIs. Work with Regional Managers to determine prioritization of business initiatives to maximize impact and meet sales and training objectives. Evaluate, assess and develop recommendations for increased field effectiveness based on regional feedback, program performance and partner needs. Empower team members to demonstrate thought leadership and decision making by creating a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsible for calculating team KPIs, conducting performance reviews and disciplinary actions as appropriate in conjunction with HR policies. Directly engage in all recruiting and talent assessment efforts for open positions. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in Business, Marketing, or similar field of study. Master's degree highly desired. Experience Level: Minimum of 3 years in a carrier field sales leadership role. Minimum of 7 years of sales experience required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large teams. Retail, merchandising, analytics, sales, marketing and/or service organization experience required. Previous account management experience desirable. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, engagement and interpersonal skills combined with the unique ability to influence and impact key stakeholders. Outstanding presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization. Tools and Technology: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency required. Google Drive experience preferred. Access to reliable transportation for travel within assigned territory. Certifications and Licenses: Internal vendor and/or client certifications as assigned. Valid driver's license in state of residence. Proof of vehicle insurance required upon request, if applicable. Work Environment: Remote home office environment with 50-75% travel to corporate offices, partner offices, training or convention venues and retail establishments. Overnight travel required. Potential for occasional before and after-hours work, weekend (Saturday and Sunday) work and holiday (major national) work.
