Cyber Defense Program Office Wells Fargo's Cyber Defense Program was launched in 2015 to help establish the company as a leader in cyber security. The focus of the work is to accelerate the remediation of our highest risks. This work will lead to: Heightened “technology hygiene standards” supported by continuous monitoring processes Simplified technology environment to enable improved detection/response and “build security inside” Strengthened culture of cyber risk awareness and compliance among all team members The Cyber Defense Program Office (CDPO) was established to provide leadership and structure for the program, ensure timely remediation of the highest 15 cyber security risks, provide visibility into program status and key milestones, and to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the enterprise. The Team This individual will manage a small team of specialists/consultants, or lead project/virtual teams and mentor lower-level staff. Position Responsibilities The Cyber Defense Strategic Planning Manager position in the Cyber Program Office will play a key role in formulating and executing the overall strategy and key program initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with senior executives across business units in order establish enterprise objectives and gain organizational alignment. Duties may include: Developing people, process, technology strategy recommendations and integrating into enterprise-wide plans Partnering with senior management to influence the long-term strategic direction Synthesizing and presenting recommendations to drive and aid in decision-making for Wells Fargo Executive Team and Board of Directors Monitoring industry, technology and regulatory trends to determine business impacts Distilling information from multiple sources and quickly developing recommendations even when topic/subject area is new Developing and maintaining key program metrics, detailed Board milestones, and financial reporting The Candidate A successful candidate will possess: Proven and demonstrated leadership skills including relationship-building and collaboration skills with clear ability to influence, gain buy-in and negotiate with a diverse group of key business partners/stakeholders including senior management Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and exhibit agility in navigating from current state to proposed solutions Strong experience working between IT and business to drive large scale technology projects – can speak both languages Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment Highly refined interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build credibility at all levels, influence peers and partners, and communicate vision effectively Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work across multiple lines of business leading large scale initiatives Experience with oversight of 1st line activities and adherence to 2nd and 3rd line requirements Ability to support and promote an environment of team member engagement and diversity where everyone feels included, valued, and supported to do the work that energizes and inspires them to go farther together and achieve success Required Qualifications 10+ years of strategic planning experience5+ years of management experience Other Desired Qualifications 10+ years of business experience, (preferably with a large financial services firm), and current/previous experience within large technology environments Experience with cyber security issues to help develop a long-term and proactive cyber defense strategy to help mitigate operational risks, in partnership with our Information Security Office, Enterprise Information Technology, and all business groups Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create highly effective and engaging presentations (Advanced PowerPoint skills critical; think-cell a plus) and ability to present, discuss, persuade and enhance understanding Must be highly motivated, with outstanding academic credentials and professional accomplishments Highly effective consultative approach with strong presence, business acumen and analytical skills including financial modeling/analysis, data analytics and visualization Organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to deal with ambiguity and drive decisions often based on limited information Outstanding collaborator and facilitator, possessing strong interpersonal skills to work effectively at all levels of an organization including: team members, managers, senior executives, the Board, Regulators and industry peers Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
