The Role The Data and Insights Manager will be a key leader of our new Virtual Channels Insight Hub which is a key enabler of our Data Driven Operational Excellence (DDOE) program. The goal of the insights hub is to drive efforts to empower WFVC team members in data access and analysis, while leading development of innovative tools and technologies related to data. The overall WFVC’s Data Excellence program is focused on developing a data driven culture in WFVC by helping our business enable data as a strategic asset. Responsibilities include: Building out and managing 3 new teams while ensuring high levels of team engagement, and inspiring, motivating and developing these teams to high performance levels. The Metrics Governance team will be primarily responsible for: Working with business partners to execute metrics governance initiatives Ensuring metrics excellence and creating confidence in our key performance indicators Creating the technical requirements that support defined policies and standards Engaging directly with metric owners to meet current needs and discuss future requirements, including new metric identification Serving as the point of contact for issue detection and resolution processes for metrics and the underlying data Working with metric owners to implement data quality metrics and monitoring data quality Managing the relationship with Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) and other technology teams as necessary The Business Intelligence (BI) Enablement team will own and provide leadership in delivering reporting and dashboards in their optimal forms, including: Determining the best fit for purpose BI tools that meet business needs Leading efforts to rationalize metrics and reports, as well as efforts to migrate reports to dashboards Leading efforts to encourage self-service BI and reusable knowledge management for analytic resources and business users across WFVC Managing supply and demand for the rapid BI service which will create dashboards on demand The Client Services hub that will act as problem solvers and data evangelists. They are the glue between the needs of business team members and the suppliers of data, BI and analytics. This team will: Lead efforts to assist business team members in connecting to data, BI and analytics services, including helping shape early stage questions Manage supply and demand for hub services, track value creation, manage vendor relationships, and understand training needs Drive change management efforts, track change progress, and engage in appropriate interventions Capture and disseminate institutional analytics knowledge: market the knowledge management approach and act as a marketer and connector for spoke analytics work Curate the prioritization, creation, and staffing of data driven proofs of concept (PoCs) and publicize outcomes broadly Cultivate strong relationships with key partners across WFVC and the enterprise The Team This leader will report directly to Eileen McCaffrey, Head of Virtual Channels Strategy and Analysis who is based in San Francisco, CA. He/She will lead a small team of managers and individual contributors. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in analytics, modeling, or a combination of both6+ years of management experience; or 6+ years of leadership experience in an advanced quantitative analytics function Other Desired Qualifications In addition to the required qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate effectiveness in building high performing teams focused on driving business results through leadership effectiveness and team member engagement; contributing to the broad Community Banking strategy with a One Wells Fargo lens by living the vision and values of Wells Fargo. The role demands a persuasive, effective communicator who can position this team as an indispensable business partner. It requires a leader with strong relationship management, influencing, vision and execution skills. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.
