JOB SUMMARY:The Audio Visual & Installation Lead is responsible for preparing and installing event audio visual equipment in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This role ensures all equipment is show ready and set up to client specifications to help guarantee customer satisfaction. The proper candidate will be able to effectively troubleshoot, install and repair all A/V material, as well as work within a team effectively with limited supervision.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Manages and preps all A/V equipmentAttends department daily and weekly meetingsInputs & updates data in the Company Inventory Management SystemUpdates the department operations boardsResponsible for the accuracy of all pulled, staged and tested itemsReports missing or damaged items related to any returned eventCommunicates effectively with other department leads & supervisorsAttends weekly production meetings as requiredCommunicates with department supervisor or manager for appropriate staffing levelsEnsures a clean and safe work environment at all timesOperates within standard operating procedures (SOPs)Meets shift production goalsOversees special projects as assignedReports to the department supervisor & manager any safety hazard or concernEnsures that all department tools, supplies & equipment are locked and accounted for and the end of every shiftCompletes department shift paperworkAssists with Inventory delivery or pick up to and from venues or vendors as requiredProvides support to the sales team on effective and efficient A/V solutionsEnsures all event lighting décor is tested and functioning (Chandeliers, Floor Lamps, table top lamps, illuminated items)Provides safe rigging methods, equipment and tools for event lighting décor (Chandeliers, Lights)Communicates with production department regarding the status of all A/V equipment for upcoming orders/eventsManages, organizes and tracks all A/V inventoryAssists with the operation of events within the assigned venues by reading floor plans, installing, setting up, storing, and maintaining all lighting and audio visual equipmentDiagnoses and resolves media system problemsLoads company vehicles for transport of audio visual, lighting and computer gearNotifies supervisor when major equipment repairs are neededOrganizes, files and maintains compliance, license, and warranty informationDrives, installs and strikes as scheduled, including travel showsCommunicates with clients on-siteFinishes duties and tasks in a timely mannerAssists other departments as needed and as instructedThis position does require overtime and some weekend hours.Other duties as requiredPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
