The Banquet Manager assists the F&B Director in overseeing all banquet events in the Club. This employee partner supervises set-ups, breakdowns, staffing levels and quality of service while maintaining Food & Beverage financial goals. They will also be invovled in the hiring and training of staff and in the ordering of product.The Banquet Manager coordinates with the Member Relations Director and Private Events Director to ensure that all events are well-organized and exceed the expectations of the host.Because of the fluctuating demands of the company's operation, it may be necessary that each Employee Partner perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employee Partners are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.Essential Functions and Accountability for an Evening Banquet Manager- Minimum of 2 years’ experience on a supervisor role.- Maintaining the high ClubCorp service standards as outlined in the STAR training program.- Know member’s names and greet them promptly as such, in a pleasant manner making them feel at home.- Follow all service department, club and corporate guidelines and policies as instructed by the Director of Food & Beverage and manuals.- Responsible for maintaining good conduct and safe working habits while in the kitchen, and assuring that others are acting safely too.- A friendly disposition and good attitude, which is crucial for member retention and overall teamwork.- Excellent communication skills, and clear articulate speech. Ability to follow instructions well.- Must have a flexible schedule. Professional appearance and a mature attitude.- Maintains a positive attitude at all times in front of Members, Guests and Employee Partners.- Possess PRIDE in work, be a professional representative of the Club at all times.- Ensures that all charges are billed correctly and forwarded to the Service Captain’s office- Assures correct appearance, cleanliness and safety of dining room areas.- Directs pre-meal meetings with Servers, relays information and policy changes and briefs personnelJob RequirementsThree years experience as a banquet server or supervisor in a fine dining establishmentCollege degree preferred
