Duties:The candidate will responsible for electrical and harness design and fabrication for unmanned aerial systems including aircraft, ground stations and simulation infrastructure. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for the day to day operations of the avionics shop. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:• Collaborate with other engineers on electrical designs and installations• Capture schematics and create harness drawings• Issue revisions to schematics and harnesses following a change control board process• Review harness electrical designs for ease of fabrication• Create and update work route cards and travelers• Fabricate and re-work aircraft harnessing• Maintain avionics shop safe operations• Maintain avionics shop equipment calibration• Supply management• Interact with outside vendors and fabricators including harness shops.• Develop and execute test procedures• Install and test LRUs• Seek and provide constructive feedback Minimum Requirements:• Proficient with schematic capture and harness design tools such as Mentor Graphics VeSys, AutoCAD Electrical, and Microsoft VISIO or similar• Microsoft Office• US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)• PC A-620 certified• 5 years work experience in electrical and harness design for aerospace applications• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620• Capable of harness fabrication to IPC A-620 and AS50881 wiring standards for aerospace vehicles• Capable of developing designs under limited supervision• Work with product life management tools such as Oracle Agile• Printed circuit design• Harness routing in 3D CAD tool Desired:• Capable of developing designs under limited supervision• Work with product life management tools such as Oracle Agile• Familiar with environmental testing (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464) Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move objects up-to 40 lbs. Capable of stranding, crawling, crouching, and climbing. Education:BS/BA Degree required
