  • Job Details: This position supports Charitable Health Coverage Operations (CHCO) in the development and execution of work streams that improve operational processes resulting in increased efficiency and a favorable impact on applicants and members.The Business Consultant Specialist will work closely with the CHCO leadership team as well as regional and national CHC Business Line leadership, key functional areas such as the Customer Service Center (CSC) and other lines of business.The work includes assessments of current state processes and functional requirements in order to develop work plans, identify outcomes, and develop critical path milestones to monitor performance or progress of various work streams related to CHC operations. Responsibilities: Responsible for identifying stakeholder requirements to initiate deliverables.Responsible for supporting the development, execution and ongoing monitoring of CHC operations related strategies and work streams that have a national impact; able to be a thought partner with stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities;Develop subject matter expertise in assigned content areaWilling to manage work as assignedSupport cross functional/regional projects by understanding processes of each business partner in order to develop clear goals, timelines and milestones;  Partner with CHCO leaders, functional areas and other lines of business to conduct analyses and action plans as needed when there are internal/external changes to the environment;Work with CHC operations to develop dashboards and status reports;Develops relationships with upstream and downstream business partners;  Organizes and guides project through decision making process including project resource allocation, scope and deliverables in the context of conflicting priorities and limited resources;Able to consider short term tactical and long term strategic requirements of various work streams;Identifies issues or decisions which require escalation;Engages with the CHC Operations team, National CHC leadership, regional CHC leadership, and other functional areas that support the CHC line of business on highly complex matters where influence is important;No direct supervisory responsibilities but is expected to mentor program/project team members as needed to improve skills and capabilities;Up to 10% travel. Required Skills:7 - 10 years’ work experience in health plans or related field, three or more years in a consulting role with specific experience in leading and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.Solid understanding of business operations.Experience leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.Strong collaboration and influencing skillsMust be flexible and able to adjust quickly to changing priorities.Must be able to work independently without a lot of supervision and be a strong thought partner with leaders and other team members.Strong written and verbal communication skills, must be able to adjust verbal and written communications depending on audience e.g., executives vs. project teamProficient in MS Office suite of products, MS Visio, MS Project, SharePoint 2013Educational Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or 4 equivalent years of experience in a directly related field Please respond by submitting your resume in a Word Document.(Please include the job title and id# in the subject line)We will not respond to everyone personally - qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview.
