Novelles Developmental Services is seeking a hands-on Staff to work at a day program, Monday through Friday, serving adults with developmental disabilities in the Burlingame area. Applicants should possess the qualities of Leadership, Initiative and Good Communication skills. Applicants should have knowledge of the developmental disability system.The Direct Care Staff work to ensure all behavioral goals and objectives are successfully developed and implemented.Some responsibilities include:Attends all mandatory meetingsReports any concerns and/ or discrepancies and changes to the coordinator in a reasonable amount of time.Assists people we serve with creating their own weekly menu and activity calendarMonitors and takes people we serve to all applicable appointmentsEnsures there are appropriate groceries and operating supplies in the residence.Conducts new hire training and orientation at the residenceDisplays a courteous attitude while taking phone calls and interacting with people in the community.Relays all important information to the Support CoordinatorRequired:Valid California Driver's License and clean drivingAbility to pass fingerprint background checkAbility to pass pre-employment physicalAt least18 years oldPreferred Criteria and Qualifications :Good oral and written communicationHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperience with the people with intellectual disabilities preferred Knowledge of basic principles relating to behavior management.*Free paid training.*Varied hours available*Referral Bonus*Full and Part time available*Benefits for full time staff include Medical, dental, vision, life, 401KYou can now apply online at http://www.cpes.com/careers-at-cpes/ Your application will directly go to our email, and we would be more than happy to set up an interview date.
