A local, private company, located in Los Gatos, CA, that provides substance use disorder treatment for adults at all levels of care, seeks qualified, clinically knowledgeable, and experienced candidates in Substance Use Disorder Treatment.DESCRIPTION: The Program Technician II supports and maintains treatment milieu; Monitors clients and provides direct care; May conduct groups and clinical interventions under the direction of Clinical Staff; Control and operate medication room.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESIntakes incoming medications, documents on Centrally Stored Medication and Destruction Record and medication control documentsMonitor client self-administration of medicationsResponsible for medication counts, tracking and destructionFollows destruction protocols including proper documentationEnsure secure control of medications at all timesPrepares and documents any offsite medications (during client outings)May conduct low level non-clinical groupsSupports client in achieving goals set out in individual treatment plansMay perform some counseling duties such as intake, assessments, crisis intervention, referrals under direction of Clinical Staff.Recognizes need for medical or psychiatric interventions and contacts appropriate emergency professionals and/or supervisor for directionProvides empathic, supportive approach to all clients.Conducts observations and vitals checks, monitors clients regularly and is aware of client whereabouts at all timesComplete shift report and incident reporting when neededConducts new client orientation.Understands the need for appropriate client/staff boundaries and maintains a strict therapeutic relationship during active treatment.Completes room checks, safety checks and client supervision checks.Ensures program schedule is maintained and transports clients to external appointments.Manages client crisis and/or emergenciesConducts search of new client belongings and lock up of valuables and contraband.Promotes a safe work environment complying with environment of care, safety, and infection control and universal precaution guidelinesConduct client testing (urine screening, breathalyzer, etc.)QUALIFICATIONSAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Follows nondiscrimination laws and conduct in performance of dutiesGood organizational skills; ability to prioritize workload and work independently.Must comply with drug-free workplace guidelines.Current First Aid certification/CPR certificationRegistered, Certified or Licensed by CA recognized Certifying Organization or Licensing Body if providing counseling servicesHigh School diploma or GEDNegative urine drug screenWillingness to work a flexible scheduleAbility to pass employer’s MVR check in order to be added to insurance carrier.Current California Driver’s LicenseREQUIREMENTS:At least 2 years of addiction treatment experienceIf LVN, valid California LVN licenseAddiction medication certification preferredValid California drivers license with clean recordRegistered, Certified or Licensed by CA recognized Certifying Organization or Licensing Body if providing counseling servicesPlease include a cover letter with your resume.Summit Estate Recovery Center is a progressive organization that believes in a evidence-based, holistic approach to substance abuse treatment, which includes a healthy staff atmosphere.
