The company has a reputation for providing the very best customer service and support in the industry.Their parent company is a leading global corporation with over $20b global salesThis is a newly created role due to growth.Pay $110-125k base + commission/bonus incentives.We are currently seeking top candidates to become part of our team and have an opening for a Director of Sales in their Northern California Region.Successful candidate must reside in the North California (Between San Francisco and Sacramento area) and willing to travel a minimum of 50% of the time with minimal notice.You will be responsible for leading the overall revenue and gross margin growth of an assigned region. As Director you will manage your team’s daily sales efforts by motivating and coaching the outside sales staff and service sales on strategic decisions to drive company and regional growth, recognize and react to market conditions through development, recruiting, mentoring, goal setting and coaching. The Director will work together with the Vice President/ GM for West Coast to understand market trends, competition, and develop new market growth strategies.You will be an integral part of a global organization with a brand recognition that represents the highest quality standards and overall customer obsession.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESMaximize financial performance of the region by expanding the rentals and sales of the OEM equipment.Grow and maintain an effective sales pipeline utilizing SalesForce.com. Coach and mentor the regional sales team and own the on-boarding process for all sales reps within the region. Provide input on each sales reps performance based on clearly communicated expectations.Work in conjunction leadershipr to drive the bid reporting services and lead management. Identify, develop and implement local marketing strategies to expand penetration of products.Build company image by collaborating with marketing to drive new opportunities and brand recognition within the region.Partner with VP in establishing sales territories, goals, and forecast for sales within the Region.Assist VP and partner with Marketing to manage sales blitzes, trade shows and other trade organizations to drive sales within the Region.Work with National Accounts Manager to both drive deeper penetration into existing national accounts and develop additional opportunities within region.Required Experience:QualificationsEffective leadership, motivational, organizational and communication skills.Effective coaching and mentoring skills are required.Effective interpersonal skills with customers, employees, and management team.Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.Strong teamwork and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.Ability to demonstrate effective negotiation and influencing skills along with knowledge of selling practices and techniques.Ability to provide superior customer service.Proven presentation and communication skills including face-to face interaction.General knowledge of mechanical and designs; pumps, gas and electric motors; compressors; engine driven equipment; capital equipment or simliarProficiency in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE -Minimum RequirementsBachelor Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.A minimum five years of successful sales management or management experience.Experience leading through influence.Previous experience and working knowledge of a P&L statement is required.Five years’ experience in related field of pumps, pumping systems, equipment rental or construction preferred.Previous experience in the use of Salesforce.com or other CRM’s is preferred.
