This positions brings one into the vitally important role of selling--the heart of every business.Responsible for supporting the Vice President, Sales by providing administrative, clerical, and customer support. Follows up with customers, completes orders, performs cold calling to generate sales, and processes sales leads. Occasional travel may be required.Primary Responsibilities:Answer telephone calls and assist customers.Handle orders and other inquiries.Process sales data and progress reports.Follow up on sales leads.Works directly with VP to direct sales leads to appropriate member of sales team.Assist VP in scheduling travel arrangements.Answer questions about product or warranties.Respond to emails, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence.Promote and sell products and services.Maintain customer/client database.Assist VP in maintaining the opportunity pipeline and Sales Activity Report (SAR).Make PowerPoint presentations for sales staff.Coordinate travel arrangements.Organize events, conferences, trade shows and other events.Ensure all client information is correct.Attend trade shows to promote products.Track sales expenses and generate expense reports.Maintains customer databaseUpdates VP by consolidating, analyzing, and forwarding daily action summaries.Identifying alternate means for filling ordersProvides product and pricing information by clarifying customer request; selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions.Assist in preparing and forwarding sales tracking reports.Prepares sales presentations by compiling data; developing presentation formats and materials.Sales Assistant Skills and Qualifications:Data Entry Skills, Reporting Skills, Administrative Writing Skills, Understanding the Customer, Customer Focus, Informing Others, Self-Development, Attention to Detail, Professionalism, Microsoft Office Skills, Teamwork
