Job Summary: Reporting to Director of Sales, the role of Business Development is to develop new business in accordance with stated sales goals within assigned territory, targeted market segments or targeted accounts, while managing the relationship and perception of each customer over the course of the business relationship, and reporting status on a routine basis utilizing web based Contact Management System. This role requires a professional appearance, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver technical content presentations. This position is a business to business sales job selling parts to medical device manufacturers. We are looking for a proven sales person with contacts in the medical device community. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:• Develop New Business with new and/or assigned existing growth accounts to support specified sales goal• Effectively manage customer expectations• Continuously develop sales leads thru referrals, cold calls, trade shows etc..• Prepare and deliver effective presentations• Present proposal/quotes for new business and negotiate within specified guidelines• Manage customer relationship to maintain positive perceptions of BCB performance over the course of the business relationship• Oversee business/commercial issues as required• Keep management appraised of sales progress utilizing web-based Contact Management system• Participate in Trade show, various Technical conference events, industry networking events etc..• Travel as required to develop and pursue business opportunitiesCore Competencies:• Intuitive People skills• Aptitude for technical sales• Respectful and of high integrity• Willing to travel• Demonstrates Professionalism at all times• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job• Excellent writing and communications skills• Proficient at MS Office, PowerPoint and strong Internet Research skills• Ability to read blueprints• Good negotiating skills• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Technical Sales• Experience selling technical services• Experience in selling products or services to Medical Device or Pharmaceutical companies• Travel required to develop and nurture sales opportunities
