  • We are seeking a Cashier to become an integral part of our team!SUMMARYThe cashier handles the final invoicing for all service and parts transactions. Because every service and parts customer comes into contact with the Cashier and the Cashier is often the last person the customer deals with, the Cashier’s performance will leave a lasting impression on the customer. In fact, the Cashier has the most important role in the after-service delivery process. The Cashier’s position requires a lot of teamwork. You will be working closely with all the dealership service and parts associates, especially the Service Consultants, Parts Specialists, and Valets.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESThe following factors will determine your success in this position:1. You are friendly, prompt, courteous, and efficient2. Customers are able to pick up their vehicles quickly and efficiently3. Customers’ questions or concerns are addressed promptly4. Provide customers with product and service information5. Call the valet to have the customer’s vehicle brought to the delivery area.6. Verify the method of payment and use check guarantee when appropriate (i.e. New customer or large service bill.)7. Process the customer’s payment8. Ask the customer if there are any questions or concerns you can help address. Call the Service Consultant immediately if the customer needs assistance9. Thank the customer by name10. Direct the customer to the service delivery area11. When the delivery copy of the invoice is returned, file it for after-service follow-up calls12. Recommend process improvements13. Balance drawer at close14. Be aware of current promotion and offers15. Monitor loaner vehicle inventory to ensure availability16. Investigate and resolve customer complaintsPROMOTING EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER CAREEvery Lexus associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer care. Of course, the basics are important:1. Be courteous to customers and co-workers2. Greet customers politely and smile3. Keep your work area clean and organized4. Thank customers by name for their business5. Make sure customers are serviced promptly. Call for help when there are customers waiting for assistance6. Smile7. Maintain a professional appearance, which may include partial uniform8. Recognize loyal and/or returning customers (i.e. “Nice to see you again.”)Qualifications:Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fieldsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentAbility to build rapport with customersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong time management skillsCompensation DOE.
