Description A company is seeking a Bilingual Japanese/English Air Export Agent with at least 1 year experience in the Freight Forwarder or Import/Export or Airline Industry. Must speak, read, and write Japanese. Entry level applicants are welcome to apply, however must have office work experience. Applicants must have A.A degree or equivalent experience preferred. Business hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm or in the future might be 12:00 pm-8:30 pm, must be available to work occasional 2-3 hours of overtime if needed. This is a Non-Exempt position, they pay for overtime.
Duties:
-Undertake processing of documents
-Ascertain that document requirements for shipments are met prior to processing.
-Segregate documents for Shipper and Company file. Monitor timely completion and to ensure cargos are shipped through the designated airlines as per schedule.
-Label cargoes upon completion
-Assist with customer service and general administrative/clerical support, including filing.
-Other assignments given by Supervisor or Manager depending on the needs of the department.
Skills:
-Excellent Customer Service Skills.
-Entry level applicants are welcome to apply however, must have office work experience.
-Must be a team player.
-Computer proficiency (Windows, MS Word, Excel, and AS 400)
-Must have excellent (written / verbal) communication skills.
-Multi-tasking / Organizational Skills
-AA or equivalent experience preferred.
-Available to work occasional 2-3 hours of overtime if needed.
Compensation: 15-18/hr (Non-exempt) with excellent benefits including 401k.
